Disability-Specific Considerations
Since 1986, Ride Away has been working with people with disabilities and assisting them with their transportation needs. With over 22 years in the business, we have a vast array of knowledge and experience with many different types of disabilities and disorders. We have the expertise and caring to get you back out into the community, doing the things and going to the places that are important to YOU.
Below are some of the more common disabilities and disorders that our customers have, but they only represent a small selection of the clients we serve. Each section below describes the disability or disorder and its impact on a person’s driving and/or transportation needs. The sections also describe possible modified vehicle equipment needs. It is important to note that the needs listed may not be applicable to everyone and that if you want to drive, a personal appointment with a Driver Rehabilitation Specialist is always recommended.
